What's better, exposed aggregate or plain concrete?
Exposed aggregate costs more but gives you a slip-resistant, decorative surface that hides wear well. Plain concrete is the cheapest durable option. For pool surrounds and sloped driveways, exposed aggregate is the safer pick.
How thick should a concrete driveway slab be?
A standard driveway slab is 100mm thick for cars. If trucks, caravans or heavy trailers will use it, go to 125mm to 150mm with heavier reinforcement. We spec this in your quote based on how you'll use it.
How long before I can use my new concrete?
Keep cars off a new driveway for 7 days. You can walk on it after 24 to 48 hours. Concrete reaches most of its strength at 28 days, and we'll give you exact times at handover.
Do you do small jobs like paths and shed slabs?
Yes. We pour footpaths, shed slabs, patios and repairs as well as full driveways and house slabs. No job is too small to quote.
